In India, “Laddoos” are one of the most favorite sweet and are prepared in varieties.”Besan ke laddoo” Motichoor ke Laddoo” Gond ke laddoo etc are few common laddoos, which is loved by everyone. In this article, we are taking up few other laddoos which have significant medicinal values. These laddoos are prepared by using few spices like caraway seeds, dry ginger, fenugreek seeds and sesame seeds. All these ingredients have medicinal value and their use in food is very much beneficial.
One of these laddoos has been prepared by using sesame seeds. Sesame seeds are an important part of Indian cuisine. It is mainly consumed in winters for its warming nature. It has ability to generate heat and energy in body and its numerous beauty and health benefits sesame seeds are loaded with nutrition.
In another laddoo fenugreek seeds have been used. Fenugreek seeds have significant health benefits. It helps in digestion and is a known anti oxidant.
One more laddoo that is prepared here is by using dry ginger and Caraway seeds. Both of these ingredients have significantly beneficial for health. Dry ginger is commonly known as “sauth” and has many medicinal use. One of the best benefits of ginger powder is relieving headache. Caraway seeds help in digestion, and relieve spasms in the stomach.It also causes weight loss.

Method
Til Ke Laddoo
- 1. Heat 2 table spoons of clarified butter (ghee) in a pan.
- 2. Add sesame seeds and fry till becomes golden in colour. Remove this from flame and crush it.
- 3. In another pan, heat jagerry on low flame. Once it melts, add rest of the clarified butter and remove this from flame.
- 4. Add coconut powder and crushed sesame seeds and mix properly. Immediately, prepare laddos. If the mixture becomes cold, it will be difficult to bind.
Methi ke ladoo
- 1. Grind Fenugreek seeds (methi) in a grinder.
- 2. Soak this powder in 100 grams of clarified butter (Ghee).
- 3. Leave this for a week.
- 4. After a week, heat rest of the clarified butter in a wok.
- 5. Add flour and fry it on medium -low heat, till flour becomes gloden brown.
- 6. Now, add soaked fenugreek seed poder and fry it for 2-3 more minutes and put your flame off.
- 7. Now add sugar powder and make small laddos.
Ajwain- Sauth ke laddo
- 1. Grind caraway seeds (ajwain) and dry ginger (sauth) separately.
- 2. Take these in separate bowl, add 50 grams of clarified buttter (ghee) in each bowl
- 3. Soak these for a week.
- 4. After a week, heat rest of clarified butter in a wok.
- 5. Add flour and fry it on medium -low heat, till flour becomes gloden brown.
- 6. Now add soaked caraway seeds and dry ginger and then put your flame off.
- 7. Now add sugar powder and make small ladoos.
